HomeBanc, a mortage REIT, will pay a regular quarterly dividend of $0.26 on November 17 to holders as of Wednesday, November 1. The company took a beating this week after it cut its third-quarter outlook. It maintained its dividend to hefty level (17% annual yield)… at least for now. But HomeBanc said it is evaluating a number of strategic alternatives, including whether to continue to operate under the REIT structure. I can feel the Sell orders coming right after Nov 1st.
