American Home Mortgage Investment, a mortgage REIT, will pay a regular quarterly dividend of $0.70 on July 27 to holders as of Thursday, July 5. That’s 3.1% of the share price of $22.880, or a 12% annual yield. This represents a 38 percent drop in AHM quarterly dividend. Before this quarter, AHM has doubled its dividend over the previous 3 years. Watch out for the drop in applications for home loans fell last week as mortgage rates increased.
