Colonial Properties Trust, a REIT, will pay a special dividend of $10.75 on June 29 to holders as of Monday, June 18. That’s 22.5% of the share price of $47.830. The dividend stems from the sale of office and retail assets to joint ventures that Colonial Properties will manage, for a before-tax proceeds of $1.5 billion to $1.7 billion.
