SMG ex-dividend on 2/22 (14%, special)
Scotts Miracle-Gro, a supplier of lawn and garden products, will pay a special dividend of $8.00 on March 5 to holders as of Thursday, February 22. That’s 14.0% of the share price of $57.040. The dividend will be funded through increased borrowings under its new credit facility. Cash out quickly and let future shareholders pay for the interests on that one.

Did SMG actually pay this special dividend? I bought 350 shares on 2/22 (and still hold them), but there’s no record of the dividend being paid into my account.
